A driver in Illinois allegedly drove his car into a police cruiser on purpose. He claimed he did it because he was “bored” before stating that he “hated cops.”

Body camera footage captured the moment the driver, identified as Keajion L. Jennings, crashed into the police vehicle during a traffic stop on Wednesday (24).

Jennings was driving a 2018 gray Chevrolet Camaro and narrowly missed the cruiser. Seconds after the impact, the 28-year-old driver stepped out of his damaged car and asked the officer, “What happened?” — to which the officer replied, “You tell me.”

“I need a new car,” Jennings responded, before being instructed by the officer to sit on the sidewalk and wait for an ambulance to evaluate him.

Jennings attempted to stand up multiple times, but officers repeatedly reminded him to stay seated. When asked why he crashed, the driver replied, “I don’t know, man. I was drinking.”

He then handed over his ID to the officers and admitted it was intentional. “What? You hit me on purpose?” the officer asked. “Yes, I did,” Jennings replied without hesitation.

“I hate cops,” added the driver, who was arrested and handcuffed. He is currently being held at the St. Clair County Jail.

Jennings allegedly caused more than $10,000 in damage to the police vehicle, according to the Belleville News-Democrat.
